Business recovery and insolvency specialists Gibson Hewitt have had fun raising money Woking & Sam Beare Hospice with Christmas cake raffle.
The firm based in Bywater had specially commissioned a stunning traditional Christmas cake complete with handmade festive decorations to be raffled off in aid of the charities latest appeal.
Tickets to enter the raffle were quickly sold off to friends, clients and staff, with the winning ticket belonging to the firm’s own Insolvency Administrator Glyn Richards.
In total the firm raised £28 through the raffle for the hospice, which will be added to its grand total for its chosen charity.
It was revealed earlier this year that the Sam Beare Hospice in Weybridge would unfortunately have to close down, prompting the charity to launch its appeal for £3.1 million of funding to support its new hospice in Woking, which Gibson Hewitt is supporting.
Lynn Gibson, Managing Director at Gibson Hewitt, said: “With Christmas just around the corner we thought this would be an excellent opportunity to raise more funds for our chosen charity Woking & Sam Beare Hospice.
“This cake is a real baking masterpiece and I am sure Glyn will enjoy sharing it with others. We are delighted that the money we have raised will go to such a wonderful cause. ”
Earlier this year the team at Gibson Hewitt raised nearly £100 for the charity with a bake sale at their offices and Glyn Richards will himself be participating in a Tough Mudder challenge in May 2017 at Henley on Thames to raise even more money for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice.
