Glyn Richards, one of our business recovery specialists is to swap his smart shoes and suit for trainers and shorts as he takes on the London West Tough Mudder challenge for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice.

He is preparing to put his best foot forward in the challenge, which takes place in Henley on Thames on Saturday 29 April.

He will join more than 20,000 people who annually take part in the 12 mile event, which sees participants face tough obstacles with names such as Cage Crawl and Electroshock Therapy.

Glyn will be raising money for our chosen charity of the year, Woking & Sam Beare Hospice, which is currently looking for £3.1 million of funding to support its new hospice in Woking.

Speaking ahead of his challenge, Glyn said: “I am really looking forward to taking part in this event, although it doesn’t look like it is going to be a walk in the park.

“I am really calling on people to get behind me so that I can raise as much as possible for this amazing cause.”

So far we have raised nearly £200 for the appeal through our cake raffle and bake sale, but we hope to raise much more in the months to come.

Lynn Gibson, Managing Director at Gibson Hewitt, said: “We are all really proud of Glyn for choosing to do something so brave for our chosen charity, Woking & Sam Beare Hospice.

We will be with him on the day cheering him on as he takes on this tough challenge.”
