Gibson Hewitt shares its expertise on the new Insolvency Rules with local professionals
This month we have addressed members of the prestigious Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) on the new Insolvency rules at a special presentation.
The event, held at the Holiday Inn in Guildford, saw more than 40 local ACCA contacts attend to hear from our Managing Director, Lynn Gibson, about the new rules, which came into force in April this year.
These new rules represent a significant change to the previous regime and are intended to modernise and simplify the insolvency process for businesses and their creditors.
During the event, Lynn spoke at length about how businesses would be affected by the rules, in particular the new ways in which insolvent businesses should communicate with creditors, and also answered questions from delegates.
Speaking after the event, Lynn said: “It was wonderful to meet and speak with members of the ACCA about the new Insolvency Rules – they certainly had plenty of questions to ask about this complex change to the regime.
“It is essential that all professional advisers are up to date with the new regime, as it could be integral to the work they conduct with their clients, especially those who face the prospect of insolvency.
“I would like to thank the ACCA for inviting me along to this event and I am glad I was able to share my knowledge with such a receptive audience.”
